Saturday, July 3 the 'Train of Dante', an initiative wanted by the Emilia-Romagna Region, which will accompany travelers for 15 consecutive weekends (See schedule and times here), between the birthplace of the father of the Italian language to the city where his remains rest, aboard a historic convoy, a locomotive D445 with three cars "Centoporte" and a carriage for bike transport.
Every weekend then, from Saturday, July 3 to Sunday, October 10, you can get in the carriage - ticket cost 54,50 euro round trip, 29 euro the single way (Buy your ticket) - and to listen to the history of the places touched during the exile of the Alighieri, that more influenced its existence and the work, narrated from the assistants of travel (The stops).
But not only that. The assistants will also provide valuable information on what to visit at each train stop: museums, fortresses, theatres and palaces, to which passengers can access free of charge, simply by showing at the entrance the ticket of the Dante Train, printed or digital, even on a different day than the trip (What is included in the ticket). In addition, always included in the cost of the ticket, you will be entitled to a discount of 10% in restaurants and local affiliated countries touched by the route, with complimentary aperitif. Further information will then be available at the special information desks, managed in collaboration with the various tourist information and reception offices in the area, set up in each station touched by the train.

Gli assistenti forniranno anche preziose indicazioni su cosa visitare a ogni fermata del treno: musei, rocche, teatri e palazzi, a cui i passeggeri potranno accedere gratuitamente (What is included in the ticket, semplicemente esibendo all’ingresso il biglietto del Treno di Dante, stampato o in digitale, anche in un giorno diverso da quello del viaggio. Inoltre, sempre compreso nel costo del biglietto, si avrà diritto a uno sconto del 10% nei ristoranti e locali convenzionati dei paesi toccati dalla tratta, con aperitivo in omaggio.
