This is what the data of the budget of the initiative wanted by the Region on the occasion of the 700 years since the death of the Supreme Poet and that on weekends from July 3 to October 10 made travel a historic train from Florence to Ravenna, with a stop in the places of exile of Alighieri.
In 28 Days of travellingthe 'centoporte' carriages made available by the Italian Fs Foundation, have in fact registered over 3.200 passengerswith regard to the filling limits provided for by the anti Covid-19 restrictions, increased from 50 to 80% during the service.
Because the train ticket also gave the opportunity to visit free museums and monuments in all the places touched by the route and a 10% discount in all restaurants with free aperitif.
This has generated the involvement in Italy and abroad of 33 tour operators and travel agencies and 113 companies of the six destinations touched by the itinerary. In particular the admission to the 20 museums were 1,914 and over 2,100 meals registered in the 19 restaurants affiliated. 27% of travellers used these opportunities on dates other than travel, as the benefits remained valid for the entire period 3 July/10 October. Much appreciated also the work of the board assistant that along the way they told travelers about the places and the link of Dante with the territory, obtaining a evaluation of 4,9 on 5.
Very important also the great media visibility generated in Italy but especially abroad with more than 130 daily services published, in particular in France (le Figaro, Holland/Algemeen Dagblad AD), Germany (Deutsche Welle TV), Poland (Kopalniawiedzy, E-teatr, Dzieje). There is also a documentary dedicated to the Dante Train in Japan on ASAHI TV, and a 52-minute episode on France TV. On board the train, bloggers and influencers also travelled from Russia, France, Germany, Ukraine, Belgium, Japan, Poland, in addition to the regional testimonial, Paolo Cevoli.
In three months of online presence, the site had about 620 thousand views from 44 countries around the world and involved 49,758 users.
